Hello! I’m an associate professor of Political Science and Latin American Studies at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My research interests focus on representation, democratization, and institutional stability and change in Latin America. I also write extensively about qualitative and mixed methods, and especially the use of focus groups in the social sciences.
My work is informed a great deal by the time I spend in Latin America and the relationships I have cultivated with friends and colleagues in the region. I have carried out fieldwork, traveled, or lived in Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Argentina, and several other countries. I currently live in Buenos Aires with my husband, children, and our cat, Shark.
